Scott Frost, newly named head football coach for the Nebraska Huskers, officially announced this group of the assistants so far on Monday.

Both Ryan Held, Greg Austin, Matt Davison and Barrett Ruud will come back to coach at their Alma Mater alongside Frost. According to ESPN’s Mitch Sherman, All of the new appointments came with Frost from UCF.
According to the Lincoln Journal Star, former Huskers linebacker and Lincoln (Neb.) native Barrett Ruud will return to Nebraska to coach the linebackers. He most recently worked as quality-control administrator on Frosts staff at UCF.
Ryan Held, another coach already out recruiting on Saturday was running backs coach Ryan Held. It makes sense that hell join Frost, seeing as he also played for Nebraska. Hes been UCFs running backs coach since 2016.
Held is from Overland Park, Kan. He walked on at Nebraska in 1994 and later was a student assistant for the Huskers 1997 national championship team.
Matt Davison a Nebraska receiver from 1997-2000, Davison most recently has been the color analyst on radio for football and basketball games for the Husker Sports Network.
Davison confirmed his place on Frosts staff on Sunday.
