On December 10th at approximately 5:48 PM, K-9 Sergeant Zach Welch, with Brown County Sheriffs Office, made a traffic stop on HW 7 near mile marker 42 for a northbound speeding vehicle.
There were two occupants in the vehicle, which was a rental car from Minnesota.
Sgt. Welch observed indicators for criminal activity during the stop. Welch then deployed Dutch, his Police Service Dog. Dutch signaled presence of drugs in the vehicle which lead to the seize of three pounds of marijuana and several packages of THC oil.
The two occupants, both from Minnesota, were arrested for Possession of Marijuana over one pound with intent to distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance (THC) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
