At approximately 8:55 AM on Friday it was reported about 10 miles southwest of North Loup on Round Barn road a tractor had caught fire bringing the small building it was in to flames as well.
According to sources, the owner had plugged the engine heater in for the tractor and left the farm only to return to the tractor and shed engulfed in flames.
Both the tractor and building were a total loss. There were no injuries.
North Loup Fire Department and Ord Volunteer Fire Department responded at the scene.
