Last week, Valley County Sheriff’s Office received a six seat Kawasaki Mule after applying for the Kawasaki Side by Side Government Loan Program. This program was able to give the department the ATV at no charge. The only cost will be for insurance and maintenance on any of the equipment.
“We were made aware of this program by Sargent Barrett Gibbons from the Custer County Sheriff’s Office,” said Valley County Sheriff Casey Hurlburt.
Along with the Kawasaki Mule, which was at no cost to the tax payers or the county, Petska Trailer Sales provided an H&H 16 foot flatbed trailier with rams to support the Mule.
All these items and pieces of equipment adding up to nearly $25,000 were given with one thing in mind; to help serve and protect the citizens of Valley County.
Sheriff Hurlburt would also like to thank these people:
- Miller PowerSports – Owned by Andrew and Gary Miller of Spalding, NE. are providing the Valley County Sheriff’s Office with a 2017 Kawasaki Mule, 6 seater on a Government Program.
- Petska Trailer Sales – Owned by Alan Petska of Ord, NE. is providing an H&H 16 foot flatbed trailer with ramps to transport the Kawasaki Mule at no cost to help us protect and serve the citizens of Valley County.
