Karp & Krow 4H Shooting Team faced the cold at the second week of the Mid Nebraska Trapshooting Conference. The Team had 25 Junior shooters and 34 Senior shooters; the Conference had 421 total shooters for the day.
This week, the High Senior Male category for the 16-yard competition held a 3-way tie with Eli English(Northwest), Joseph Psota (Karp&Krow) and Mason Weller(Merrick Co) all scoring 49/50. Joseph Psota held strong and won the shoot-off.
In the Handicap category, Macee Alexander shooting a 45/50 was named the Handicap Female Champion.
The Karp & Krow Senior Squad of Drew Dearmont, Seth Clamp, Gus Dunbar, Tim Berry and Cannon Osentowski tied for second place for Senior Team Champion with a Northwest team scoring 232/250; the winning high score from another Northwest team was 233/250.
The Junior shooters of the Karp & Krow 4H have over 10 new members this year and they all have fantastic mind-set to tackle the shooting discipline. The top shooters within the Junior team were Mattie Ryker, Klancy Bower and Darren Stout all breaking 39/50.
