The Valley County Sheriff’s Office has hired Deputy Dale King for one of the open deputy position in Valley County. Deputy King previously worked for the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO). He was a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and Patrol Deputy.
King has experience as a detective involving homicides, financial crimes, cold cases and arson. He was the Detective Sgt. Supervisor of the Major Case unit for the Fremont Sheriff’s Office. The Unit handles homicides, sex assaults, armed robbery, arson, cold cases, financial crimes, crimes against children, black market marijuana, and narcotics. Last year Deputy King and the Unit worked on crimes against children case that resulted in a 3000 year sentence.
Along with his duties at the Fremont County Sheriffs Office, he was also a recruiter for the FCSO and was a trainer for interview and interrogation, professional standards, other classes.
He worked for the Colorado Department of Corrections, was a tracker for the CDOC Escape Team and was a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Deputy King will begin his duties with the Valley County Sheriff’s Office on July 1, 2018.
