The North Central RC&D Council met in the Bassett City Hall meeting room on April 25, 2018 at 1:40 PM.Highlights include:
Household Hazardous Waste collection in O’Neill was rescheduled to this Saturday, the 28th. This will be at Carney park in O’Neill. 8-10 am. Everyone welcome. If you have questions, call 402-376-5842.
Electronics Waste collection. 2nd annual in O’Neill will also be this Saturday at Carney Park. Will be accepting items till noon.
The 2nd Electronics Waste collection in Springview, Ainsworth and Valentine has been set for Friday, June 1. Springview 9-11 am, Ainsworth 12:30-2:30 pm and 4-6:30 pm in Valentine.
Household hazardous waste collections in the Springview, Ainsworth, Valentine area this Fall. Watch for details.
Stuart Recycling Center is running strong. All those in the area are encouraged to recycle– save the landfills!!!!
NK Waste in Valentine is exploring the option of offering glass recycling. Pending grant notification, Bristow’s glass recycling project is on hold.
May 5 is “Clean Around the Rock” event for Rock County.
The radio public service announcements encouraging recycling have expanded to include coverage in NE Nebraska.
A proposal is being developed to present to City of Valentine Council for city wide food composting.
The membership renewal letters will be sent out next week.
