Entomologist Amy Hughes is inviting the public to attend the butterfly/pollinator garden class at Kamp Kaleo on tuesday, May 22 at 6:00 PM. Hughes will be teaching on successful garden requirements, garden plans, flower/plant selection and butterfly/insect identification.
The session will be hands on so be sure to bring your creative, experimental, and minds and be prepared for having fun and meeting new people.
Hughes was involved with The Loup River Scenic Byway Pollination = Preservation project and certified 32 businesses, individuals, or groups that met requirements to be NABA (North American Butterfly Association) certified.
All these gardens have plants that aid in the conservation of butterfly species along with many other beneficial and pollinator insects. These gardens are spread from Bartlett to Dunning and from Burwell to Cairo with many locations in between.
