According to Valley County Sheriff Casey Hurlburt, there is a new phone call scam to be aware of. The scammer will say they are with Nebraska Publishers Clearance. They will then ask if you are home — this question is to get you to say yes.
Hang up the phone immediately if you receive a call from this scam. Report the scam as soon as possible to your local authorities.
