The Custer County Foundation is offering eight new scholarships that were established for high school seniors and college students.
Applications are due February 1st and can be found on custercountyfoundation.org and to view all the scholarships available.
The list below is the new scholarships available:
- EZ IT Solutions Information Technology Scholarship, $1,000
- Available to Custer County high school senior or Custer County high school graduates currently enrolled in college
- Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree or technical degree in Information Technology or related field
- Nebraska State Bank Scholarship, $1,000
- Must be a senior at a Nebraska High School
- Student, parent, or grandparent must be a customer of NSB and student must state in application the name of the customer and their relationship (parent or grandparent)
- Nebraska State Bank Hometown Scholarship, $1,000
- Must be a senior at a Custer County high school
- Must write a 500 word essay on why you plan to return to Custer County
- Nebraska State Bank Business Scholarship, $1,000
- Must be a senior at a Nebraska high school or must have graduated from a Nebraska high school
- Preference given to students in the following degree areas; Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Business Management
- Nebraska State Bank Youth Leadership Custer County Scholarship, $1,000
- Must be a current or past participant in Youth Leadership Custer County
- Must write an essay on how you benefited by participating in Youth Leadership Custer County
- Letter of recommendation from someone you worked with during YLCC
- High School and college students are eligible
- Nebraska State Bank College Scholarship, $1,000
- Must have graduated from a Nebraska high school
- Must be a college student entering their second year or above
- Must include in biographical narrative how student has taken a leadership role in college
- Tiffany Theater Scholarship, $500
- Must be a current or former employee at the Tiffany Theater
- Student can be a high school senior or currently enrolled in college.
- Must have been employed at Tiffany Theater for at least one year.
- Marvin Payne Memorial Scholarship, $500
- Must be a senior at Broken Bow High School
