On Monday, February 25, 2019 at 6:56 pm a shed in rural Loup County caught fire destroying it and all the property inside.
The shed was owned by Cody and Alecia Shelton. Them and their three young girls were not injured in the fire.
According to Loup County Fire Chief Trevor Kraus the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
In response to the major loss of food in a freezer and many tools and other property destroyed, the staff at Loup County Schools will have a free will donation bucket available at the school. The bucket will also be in the gym for the Read Across America event on Thursday at 2:00 pm as well as the main office until Thursday March 7th.
