LINCOLN – The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry is pleased to announce that Rebecca Ries has been selected to participate in Leadership Nebraska Class XII.
Becky is the Executive Director for the Valley County Health System Foundation and helps lead the volunteer board. This organizations plays a vitally important role in ensuring that the needs of Valley County Health System are met. In addition to her role with the Foundation, she also works for the hospital in the role of Executive Administrative Assistant. These two positions work seamlessly together and help ensure a good partnership between both organizations. This year Becky was nominated by the Chamber of Commerce as a Partner in Progress within the community.
Becky helped to organize the Valley County Philanthropic Partners and The Big Give to Valley County; is a Team Mates mentor; former steering team member for Connecting Young Nebraska (CYN); former board member of the Ord Chamber of Commerce; former board president of the Ord Jaycees; VCHS Child Development committee member and treasurer; and has served on the auditing committee and is a board member for the Bethel Baptist Church. She is a graduate of Bradshaw High School.
Leadership Nebraska was founded in 2006 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout the state, enhance their leadership skills and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing Nebraska.
Participants have been selected from different regions of the state and possess varied backgrounds and diverse talents. All candidates have demonstrated an abiding interest in Nebraska and its future.
The program consists of six sessions covering a broad range of key Nebraska issues including economic development, health care, education, agriculture, government and policy development. Class XII begins with an orientation in June and will conclude in February 2020 with a commencement in Lincoln. Sessions will be conducted throughout various locations of the state.
