NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) – Authorities say a driver died after his pickup truck crashed on the west side of North Platte.
Deputies say the pickup left the roadway Sunday and burst into flames after slamming into a tree.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says the driver was taken to a North Platte hospital, where he died. He’s been identified as 44-year-old Cosmo Contreras Jr., who lived in North Platte.
The crash is being investigated.
