COVID Update
Burwell, NE – As of Monday, February 8, 2,327 COVID-19 cases have been reported by Loup Basin Public Health Department (LBPHD).
The breakdown by county below shows the number of positive tests since the start of the pandemic, the number of those considered to be recovered and the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19. Currently there are 152 active cases within the district.
In the last week, LBPHD has seen an increase in COVID-19 vaccine allocations coming into the district. For last week and the week starting February 7, 2021, LBPHD and its partners will administer 600 prime doses of the vaccine each week. To date, all Phase 1B vaccinations have focused on the priority population of those 65 years old and older.
As of February 6th, 4,005 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the district. Of those doses, 2,792 have been first (prime) doses and 1,213 have been second (boost) doses.
Anyone who is interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine can sign up via the website vaccinate.ne.gov. If you do not have internet access, please call the COVID-19 hotline at (833) 998-2275 to be assisted with signing up.
