A Lexington man is in the Hall County Jail after a woman reported he threatened her after she confronted him over a damaged yard statue. Anshah Mohamed Anshah was arrested on charges of terroristic threats, criminal mischief and possession of marijuana less than an ounce. According to Grand Island Police, officers responded around 9 a.m. Saturday to a home in the 100 block of South Kimball Street. A woman reported Anshah came on to her porch and damaged the statue of a Black child holding a fishing pole. Capt. Jim Duering said Ansah stated he damaged the statue because he found it offensive. When she confronted Anshah about the damaged statute, the woman said he threatened her. Upon contacting Anshah, officers found less than an ounce of marijuana in his possession.
