Grand Island Police are investigating an overdose death the occurred over the weekend. According to GIPD a 17-year-old girl was found deceased in her home in the southeast part of Grand Island on Sunday. Police believe she voluntarily ingested a xanax pill laced with fentanyl. GIPD says this is different that the Percocet pills that have cause drug overdoses in the last few months. Police are unsure though whether or not these pills are black market or if the are being made locally.
