Nebraska linebacker Luke Reimer was tabbed for the preseason Butkus Award watch list Monday. The award is annually presented to the top linebacker in the nation. Reimer is one of the main defensive anchors for the Blackshirts this year, as he begins his third season as a starter in 2022. Last season, the 6-foot-1, 225 pound junior from Lincoln earned a honorable mention in the All-Big Ten by both the coaches and the media. Reimer totaled 108 tackles last season along with 6 tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles and seven pass breakups. Reimer was among six Big Ten Linebackers on the 51-player watch list.
