24-year-old Brittianee Bates of Omaha was found guilty of sexually assaulting much younger members of her dance team and has been sentenced to decades in prison. Court records show she was sentenced to 28 to 56 years in prison on Thursday and after 14 years she will be eligible for parole. Bates pleaded no contest to the charges this year and those charges include two counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree sexual assault of a child and intentional child abuse. Bates did not admit her guilt in the plea but acknowledged that prosecutors had enough evidence to convict her. In exchange for her pleas the prosecutors dropped four other charges that were felonies. The prosecutors say that Bates sexually assaulted three girls who were on the same drill team as Bates and a fourth girl who went to the day care that Bates worked at. The accusations of abuse date back to 2015 and all victims were younger than 13. Some were as young as 9.
