41-year-old Jared Cain of Arizona was sentence to eleven years in prison on Dec. 9th according to acting U.S Attorney Steven Russell. He was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine and 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine. Once he completes his initial sentence he will then serve a term of five years of supervised release. On Nov. 11, 2021 a Nebraska State Trooper pulled Cain over in a black sedan on Interstate 80 after seeing it commit traffic violations. Cain agreed to let the officer search the vehicle and in the trunk the trooper found a duffle bag containing 33 lbs. of suspected meth. When officials sent the substance to the lab the results came back stating that it was 14,713 grams of meth mixture in the packages. When some of the packages underwent a purity test they were found to have at least 4.7 kilograms of actual meth.
