Oakland Man Goes to Prison for Theft Charges

29-year-old Seth Gatewood was sentenced to four years in prison on Monday according to the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested for being in connection to an investigation in Stanton into thefts of multiple catalytic converters and the stealing of fuel from multiple vehicles. Gatewood pleaded guilty to the charges in October of 2022. He was arrested when officers served a search warrant on a Stanton home in connection to the crimes on Hickory St.
