In Grand Island, Nebraska, local business owners are introducing a distinctive dining concept to the downtown area, combining a sports bar serving what they describe as elevated bar cuisine with a fine dining experience, all housed under one roof.
Nearly two years after the closure of 40 North, Grand Island business owners Jason and Candi Price are undertaking the establishment of a new restaurant named ‘Double V’ within the Railside building.
The name ‘Double V’ symbolizes the dual nature of the establishment. One aspect, named ‘Valiant’, will offer fine dining on Friday and Saturday evenings. The other, ‘Victory’, will operate as a sports bar and grill, aiming to open seven days a week.
Jason expressed his satisfaction at providing another dining option for downtown patrons.
“It’s a significant offering for Grand Island,” Jason stated. “There aren’t many places in Grand Island where you can experience fine dining, with many being accessible only by membership. We aim to provide that experience to everyone.”
However, Jason noted that there are still some details to iron out before the grand opening.
“Ensuring that everything in the kitchen operates smoothly is crucial,” Jason explained. “We’ve had to make a few adjustments to ensure everything flows seamlessly. Achieving this level of precision is key to our success.”
While they aim for a mid-June opening, Jason acknowledged that unforeseen circumstances could arise.
“We’re targeting the middle of June, but there may be challenges along the way,” Jason admitted. “We’re in the process of finalizing everything, including integrating new equipment and ensuring everything functions harmoniously.”
The Prices also mentioned their plans to begin hiring soon. For more information about employment opportunities at ‘Double V’, interested individuals can visit the provided link.
