In 1960, the family settled in Ord, and Mary graduated from Ord High School in 1962.
Mary and Larry D. Masin were united in marriage on July 6, 1968, at Ord, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with two sons, Patrick and Bradley.
Mary worked at Carson’s IGA and Jack & Jill Grocery stores. Her specialty skill was a meat wrapping technician, a skill that carried on for 27 years until retirement in the Spring of 1995.
In the Spring of 1995, their son Bradley experienced a serious accident, requiring long term rehabilitation care at the Swedish Medical Facility and Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Mary’s skill as a caregiver required her to relocate to Denver for six months; helping facilitate Brad’s recovery.
Mary enjoyed gardening, antique collecting, crocheting afghans and had a passion for watching old western movies. Over the years, Mary and Larry traveled together and enjoyed fishing with close friends and family.
At heart, Mary was a consummate caregiver for anyone in need. Mary was an excellent cook who enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with family and friends.
