Grand Island police are actively investigating a burglary after two gambling machines were broken into during the early hours of Friday morning.
The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. at the Baasch Laundromat located on North Pine Street. According to police, a suspect dressed in all black and wearing a black mask entered the business and quickly forced entry into two “game of chance” gambling machines.
The burglar made off with approximately $1,683 in cash — $183 from one machine and $1,500 from the other. Damage to the machines is estimated at $3,000.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Grand Island Police Department as the investigation continues.
