GRAND ISLAND — Authorities are investigating a theft after two gambling slot machines were broken into at a laundromat in Grand Island on Friday, August 29.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers were dispatched to a business on North Pine Street following a report of stolen money. When they arrived, officers discovered both slot machines had been damaged and all of the cash inside had been taken.
The case remains under investigation. Potential charges could include criminal mischief, estimated between $1,500 and $4,999 in damages, and theft by unlawful taking.
