GRAND ISLAND — Authorities are investigating criminal mischief after a utility pole in Grand Island sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage over the Labor Day weekend.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers were dispatched to 215 East 3rd Street on Tuesday, September 2nd, at 11:38 a.m. in response to the report. The City of Grand Island Utilities Department confirmed that the pole had been struck by an unknown object, resulting in significant damage.
Investigators believe the incident occurred sometime between Friday, August 29th, and Tuesday, September 2nd. The case remains under investigation by the Grand Island Police Department.
