The pretrial hearing for a 53-year-old Kearney man accused of multiple counts of sexual assault and incest has been postponed until late November. The defendant faces four counts of first-degree sexual assault, each a Class 2 felony, and four counts of incest, each a Class 3 felony. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victims.
Originally scheduled for October 21st, the hearing has been rescheduled for November 24th at 2:30 p.m. following a defense request for a continuance.
According to court documents filed in Buffalo County Court, the man allegedly sexually assaulted a juvenile between the ages of 12 and 16 on multiple occasions between March 2006 and July 2008. The incest charges involve a separate juvenile victim, with incidents reported to have occurred during that same time frame.
The case remains ongoing in Buffalo County District Court.
