A 24-year-old Grand Island man was taken into custody Monday after authorities say he assaulted two family members with a thick leather belt that had a buckle attached.
Cristian Torres Jiminez was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. According to reports, the alleged victims were his 23-year-old brother and 63-year-old father.
Officials say the incident resulted in redness, swelling, and possible bruising. The investigation remains ongoing.
