Nebraska senior Dylan Carey was honored Wednesday after he was chosen as a third-team midseason All-American by Perfect Game.
Carey has been a key contributor to No. 19 Nebraska’s 23-6 start this season, batting .403 with 10 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 43 RBI and 26 runs scored with a 1.178 OPS.
The Castle Rock, Colo., native has ranked among the national leaders throughout the year and is fourth nationally in hits, 11th in RBI and 15th in total bases.
Carey has posted 16 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI performances this season. In last weekend’s series finale win against Indiana, Carey became Nebraska’s all-time career doubles leader, surpassing the record held by head coach Will Bolt since 2002.
