ORD — The Golden Husk in Ord will host an in-concert Nebraska ghost story.
“Catherland” is written and composed by Nebraskan’s Becky Boesen and David von Kampen. It tells the story, through song, of a woman who flees tragedy and end up in Red Cloud.
In addition, a workshop will be held earlier in the day for folks to learn lyrical writing. “This is going to be an opportunity for high school students and adults to come and meet with the cast and the playwright of ‘Catherland’,” says the Husk’s Dahn Hagge. “The focus will be on lyrical writing, they say it’s a total pressure-free workshop.”
“I think it will be great fun,” Hagge adds.
The workshop runs from 12 P.M. – 1 P.M. and is limited to 20 people. Those interested in registering should call the Golden Husk.at 308-730-8133. The “Catherland” performance begins later that night at 7 P.M.
