LINCOLN — More state agencies would have to make records public under a bill that has won final approval in the legislature.
This means the state’s spending website could publish documents for dozens of Nebraska agencies. As many as 24 could be affected by this move.
Agencies that are a part of the state’s main accounting system are already subject to transparency regulations.
The bill heads to Governor Rickett’s desk to be signed into law.
