LINCOLN — A bill has been signed into law that requires law enforcement agencies to draft their own policies or use one created by the Nebraska Crime Commission.
The issue arose after complaints that many state agencies use body cameras, but standards vary on scope and detail.
The policy is similar to an existing one for camera and audio recordings. 19 states and Washington, D.C. have some kind of body camera law.
