BROKEN BOW — The Nebraska High School Rodeo Association held the Reined Cow Horse competition for the 2015-16 season in Broken Bow at the Custer County fairgrounds over the weekend. In the first go round, Jayde Atkins of Broken Bow placed first with a score of 149 earning her 20 points. Jada Jensen was second with a score of 148, Shania Macomber was third with 146 points, Morgan Eggleston was fourth with 139, and Robin Ferguson was fifth with 138.
Jayde Atkins of Broken Bow won the short go with a score of 148.5, Jada Jensen was second with 144, Cody Henderson was third with 142.5, Shania Macomber was fourth with 141.5, and Kane Wellnitz was fifth with 141.
The National High School Finals RCH qualifiers that will be competing in Gillette, WY July 17-23 are State Champion Jayde Atkins of Broken Bow, Jada Jensen of Bingham, Shania Macomber of Whitman, Kane Wellnitz of Chadron, and the Alternate will be Natalie G’Schwind of Callaway.
