LINCOLN — Despite a drop from March to April, a survey of supply managers in Nebraska and eight other midwest states still point to economic growth.
The Mid-American Business Conditions Index dropped to 50.1 in April from 50.6 in March.
A score above 50 shows economic growth, while below suggests decline. Figures from the survey had risen for three months.
Organizers of the Creighton University study says the main obstacle for additional growth is the region’s weakness in agriculture and energy sectors.
