LINCOLN — A proposed budget from new University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds features increases in tuition and financial aid.
Bound unveiled a package with a 2.5% increase in tuition as well as bumps in aid, employee salaries and more economic development projects.
The tuition increase was approved last June as part of a two-year package. The cost is still lower than the average Big Ten school.
The economic development portion includes $2.5 million dedicated to areas where the university can become a national leader.
The Board of Regents will consider the package on May 25th.
