BURWELL — Burwell played host to a professional bull riding even this weekend.
The L.J. Jenkins Invitational Bull Riding Tour 2016 made a stop at the Burwell Fairgrounds. Organizers Jack Plugge says the home of Nebraska’s Big Rodeo was an obvious choice for the tour.
“This is probably as class bull riding as you can get,” he explains. “It’s going to stay right with the tradition of Burwell of being a top rodeo (venue).”
“This is going to be a top bull riding event,” Plugge adds.
In addition to professional bull riding, the night went toward a good cause. All of the proceeds went to “4 the Cure”, an organization for cancer research.
