LOUP CITY — Sunny skies and a little bit of wind greeted folks at Polish Days in Loup City this weekend.
The event drew another crowd for the carnival, parade and, of course, a lot of food. Mayor Alec Bailey says Polish Days is special because it feeds the nostalgia of people from around the area.
“It’s part of our upbringing,” he explains. “I was brought up in Loup City, Nebraska and it’s just like childhood memory, you come back to it every year.”
“It’s great,” he adds.
Not to mention the economic benefits, which Bailey says help Loup City each and every year.
The 2016 version of the weekend featured something a little new. A Family Feud-Polish Edition was added to keep folks in a competitive spirit.
