Blue and silver pinwheels adorned the lawn and spun in the gentle breeze outside Burwell Jr/Sr High School on Thursday evening, marking this year’s “Spring Into Good Health” fair. The event was sponsored by the Loup Basin Public Health Department, Burwell Pharmacy, Burwell Family Practice, and Burwell Dental.
Tables were set up throughout the gymnasium as vendors exhibited a variety of services and products, aimed at fostering and maintaining quality health.
There were displays for all age groups, from the Early Development Network’s presentation, highlighting the growth of a child’s social, communication, and motor skills to the Valley County Health System’s Heritage Program for Seniors and its Home Health and Hospice Services.
Information was also available on topics like reproductive health care for men and women, staying safe in the summer sun, and how what you drink can affect your teeth.
Free…and healthy,,,meals and snacks were available to all in attendance.
