The Valley County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday. Topics discussed included that delays that continue regarding the road work and railroad crossing at 811th Road. The board floated the possibility of recouping money already spent on the potential project. Members agreed to meet once more and then determine the project’s fate.
Valley County Health System CEO, Nancy Glaubke, informed the board that the ambulance that was damaged when it struck a deer back in December has been repaired and returned to the hospital. Also, Glaubke said that the VCHS board approved an upward adjustment in the salary scale for the hospital’s Registered Nurses. This will bring VCHS in line with other area hospitals, especially regarding starting salaries for RNs.
The Interlocal Law Enforcement Agreement between Valley County and the Village of Arcadia was formally approved by the board. The agreement runs from May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2018.
The Valley County Board of Directors meets again on May 9.
