Dean Schroder, an 8th Grader at Loup County Public Schools, has qualified to compete at the National Jr High Rodeo Finals in Lebanon, Tennessee this summer. Dean finished the Jr High rodeo season in third place in the Saddle Bronc Steer Riding at State Finals,which were held in Broken Bow.
Jr High Finals will be held in Lebanon, Tennessee again this year and will be June 18-24.
This is the world’s largest Jr rodeo featuring roughly 1,000 contestants from 43 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia. Contestants will be competing for more that $50,000 in prizes and more than $200,000 in college scholarships.
