The Valley County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, May 30. Among the items on the agenda, the board voted 4-2 to move forward with proposed work to be done at 811th Road, despite many months of delays, long discussions, and debates. A railroad crossing and extensive road work are required to propel the project.
Valley County Health System CEO Nancy Glaubke told the board that approximately 200 people attended the recent VCHS Health Fair. Next on the hospital’s agenda is sports physicals for area students. Also, VCHS’s Amanda Woodward added that Medicaid is cutting funding to critical access hospitals by 3 percent. State senators voted in favor of this reduction.
