If you have a pair of eclipse glasses, DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY! Donate them! To the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce or to Thrivent Financial in Broken Bow. Astronomers Without Borders is taking donated glasses so they can be used in third world countries for the next eclipse in 2019 where it will pass over South America and Asia.
Scott Harvey, Financial Representative with Thrivent Financial came up with the idea shortly after the eclipse and says, After all the events with the eclipse I happened to see something online that this group was looking to collect glasses to recycle them…and use them for future eclipses.
