On Tuesday, October 3, it was reported someone had posted a threat on social media about a shooting that will take place at Plattsmouth Middle School today, Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
Local law enforcement in Plattsmouth accredited the threat after obtaining information. Law enforcement made contact with one, but not all, potential suspects.
As the investigation continues, Plattsmouth Community Schools decided to close the school for the day, saying they are taking the threats seriously to maintain the safety of their students and staff members.
