JULY 23, 2018 (KEARNEY, NEB.) Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested two people for driving under the influence during this weekends Kearney Cruise Nite special enforcement.
In addition to the drivers arrested for DUI, troopers also issued citations for speeding (12) and no seat belt (2). Troopers also performed seven motorist assists and responded to a crash on Interstate 80 that led to backed-up traffic.
The enforcement was held on Friday, July 20 through Saturday, July 21 and included saturation patrols.
The enforcement was made possible thanks in part to a grant for $3,625 from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO).
