At 9:40 pm on February 12, 2019 22-year-old Rodney Mendoza of Grand Island, Nebraska was booked into Valley County Jail for the Howard County Sheriff’s Department.
Mendoza was arrested for willful reckless driving and flight to avoid arrest after deputies attempted a traffic stop on US Highway 281.
According to Howard County Sheriff Tom Busch, after a search of Mendoza’s vehicle, methamphetamine was found in the driver compartment.
Mendoza’s charges include flight to avoid arrest, possession of methamphetamine and willful reckless driving.
