According to the latest forecast update from the National Weather Service in Hastings, expected hazards are looking to be widespread snow of 2-7 inches. There is high confidence of 2-4” west of Highway 281 as well as 4-7 inches east of Highway 81. The lower confidence in snow totals are between Highway 281 and 14.
Expect the brunt of the accumulating snow forecast this evening through 4 AM Wednesday with it ending early morning Wednesday.
Impacts include Hazardous travel possible due to slick and snow covered roadways along with poor visibility during snow. There is a likely chance for travel delays for any Wednesday morning commutes.
Fortunately, winds are expected to generally be light, with minor, if any, blowing and drifting snow.
