The Central Nebraska Economic Development District has been advised by a representative at the FEMA Help Desk that you can start the process now for disaster assistance by getting Registered, even though your county may not yet be listed on the DisasterAssistance.Gov website.
CNEDD is advising all households, businesses and communities to start the process NOW to apply for federal disaster assistance.
Additionally, CNEDD has contacted the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency to report that most of Nebraska’s counties affected by the disaster are not yet listed on DisasterAssistance.Gov. The NEMA representative we spoke to stated they will pass this information on to the FEMA representative they are working with, in order to correct the problem.
In the meantime, you can go to http://nema.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/0bc3537ed2a145bba2ffbd37b54209ed for a map showing all of the disaster declared counties in Nebraska.
We encourage you to distribute this information throughout your communities, so that Nebraskans affected by this disaster can receive assistance as quickly as possible.
