
Elizabeth Lambert, 95, of Ord passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022; at Arbor Care Center in Ord.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022; at the Ord First United Methodist Church. Pastor Spenser Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Ord First United Methodist Church or the Ord Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Elizabeth Aileen was born March 12, 1926, at Windsor, Colorado to James and Winifred (Taggert) Dutcher. She attended the Windsor schools and graduated from Windsor High School in 1944.
Elizabeth continued her education at the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing at Denver, Colorado and graduated in 1947. She worked as an RN at the Laramie County Hospital in Ft. Collins, Colorado for three years.
On September 10, 1949, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Paul C. Lambert at Fort Collins, Colorado. Following Paul’s graduation from Veterinary school in 1951, the couple settled at Ord, Nebraska. Elizabeth was a RN at the Valley County Hospital for 30 years.
Paul and Elizabeth owned and operated the Hillcrest Motel in Ord for several years. Following their retirements the couple spent time in Texas during the winter on mission trips.
She was a faithful volunteer at the Bloodmobile for over 40 years and was the Chairman for 7 years. She was active in the Ord First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Elizabeth enjoyed playing games and cards, working puzzles and counted cross-stitch. She especially enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Gary Bogus of Ord; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dale and Nancy Lambert of Topeka, Kansas and Robert Lambert of Montreal, Canada; 7 grandchildren and their spouses; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dwight Dutcher of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul who passed away on April 7, 2021; and a sister-in-law, Diane Dutcher.
