Michael Sands was arrested on Friday for Possession of Stolen Property. According to GIPD officers received a report that sometime between Thursday and Friday an individual forced a door open at the former veteran’s home and cut out 30 to 40 feet of copper pipe from the boiler room. The amount of Pipe stolen was valued at $1,500. Sands tried to sell the copper pipe the same day and Kramer’s when GIPD was contacted and made the arrest. Hall County Jail records show Sands was released on his own recognizance on Sunday.
