Buffalo County District Court records say Brandon Jacobs, 39, pleaded no contest last week to use of a deadly weapon commit a felony. Records say all other charges, including a first degree assault count, were dropped. According to the Kearney Police Department, they had officers called to a local hospital for a man with a stab wound in September last year. It was determined that the stabbing had occurred during a disturbance that involved two man outside a home. Jacobs was found near the home by police and was arrested and now faces up to 50 years in prison when he is sentenced on July 22nd.
