According to acting U.S Attorney Steven Russell 34-year-old Mark Tosone was convicted in Federal Court on Wednesday in Omaha. He was convicted and charged with theft of government property and was given three years of probation for the charge while at the same time being ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $18,220. Court documents say that, Tosone ordered many iPhone’s for the Omaha Housing Authority while working there between 2017 and 2019. These phone upgrades were suppose to have gone to other employees but they said they never received them from Tosone. Authorities later found out through tracking the orders and deliveries and then the service that the phones were using that the phones were being used by Tosone’s friend and family members. The people using the phones said that they had bought them from Tosone at a discount.
